We want to take this opportunity to welcome parents and students to fifth grade at Avondale Elementary School. We will be using this newsletter as well as classroom websites to keep everyone updated on assignments, field trips, homework, and tests. You should receive a newsletter every Tuesday in your child’s take home folder. Any notes or forms should be returned in this folder each week.
The first weeks of school are crucial for communication and expectations in the classroom. We hope you have had a chance to review the code of conduct with your child and discuss the information found within. We will use this as a guideline for handling any type of behavior issues within the classroom. Talk daily with your child about what is going on in the classroom, and use this newsletter as a guide for the week. All other information for the month such as lunch menu and school calendar can be found on the school’s website at http://www.bhamcityschools.org/Domain/35
